I've tested Versi Player with version 1.1.1 It's unknown if Versi Player will work with other versions of QuickTime. - You need to have Video for Windows installed on your system to be able to play AVI files. - A sound card as well as the drivers for your sound card need to be installed correctly. - Versi Player is a Windows program. You need Windows 3.1 or Windows for Workgroups 3.1 to use Versi Player. ---------------------- INSTALLATION ---------------------- 1) Unzip this Archive in the directory of your choice. 2) Run the setup.exe program by either double clicking setup.exe in the File Manager or while in Program Manager Select the RUN menu option and type in the path to Versi Player's setup.exe. ( i.e. c:\temp\setup.exe ) 3) Now select which directory you would like Versi Player to be installed to ( Default is C:\VPLAYER ). - Thats it! The installation program will create a group in Program Manager for Versi Player. ---------------------- Notes ---------------------- - Versi Player allows you to drag and drop files from the File Manager onto Versi Player's window. From there all you need to do is press the Play button. ** Hint: The easiest way to do this is to click on Versi Players Stay Ontop button, Which will allow Versi Player to remain uncovered by the File Manager's window thereby allowing you to easly drag and drop files onto Versi Players window. - You may also associate Versi Player with selected files in File Manager. Double clicking on a file will start Versi Player and Versi Player will automaticlly play that file for you. - If you receive a "Type mismatch" error while trying to start Versi Player delete Versi Players INI (vplayer.ini) file (located in your Windows directory). Now restart Versi Player. - You can preview the files before opening them in the file open dialog by clicking on the file and waiting for a second. A window will appear in the lower right hand side of the dialog box allowing you to play/preview the selected file. - Versi Player's window can be resized like any other program. Just click and drag on the most outer edge of the window. - Versi Player play's FLC FLI files in another window. DO NOT use the on top button while playing those type's of files. ----------------------- Uninstall Instructions ----------------------- Delete these files: vplayer.ini - Located in your Windows directory Versi Player's Directory Versi Player's Program group ------------------ E-mail me with bugs & suggestions Nils Magnuson Internet : nilsm@kaiwan.com AOL : NilsM Compuserve: 74242,3450
